According to the Ministry of Construction, at the National Online Conference on the real estate market chaired by the Prime Minister on February 17, the Ministry of Construction proposed to spend regarding 110,000 billion VND credit package for commercial banks to loans to investors of social housing (NOXH) and worker housing (NOCN) projects by the method of refinancing.
The form of support is similar to the package of VND 30,000 billion, which has been performed very well in the past 2013-2016 period. Of which, regarding 50% of the credit package is given to the investor of the social housing project, the NOCN has a preferential loan and regarding 50% of the remaining credit package is for individual customers who are buyers, rent-purchasers of social housing, public housing. core.

However, at the above conference, the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam proposed a credit package of VND 120,000 billion for the construction of social housing and worker housing projects with interest rates on loans to builders. and homebuyers will be 1.5-2% lower than the average lending rate of banks in the market in each period.
The Ministry of Construction said that, following the conference, the Government will issue a resolution on developing a safe, healthy and sustainable real estate market, including content on the credit package for social housing.
After the Government’s resolution, the Ministry of Construction will coordinate with the State Bank of Vietnam to deploy a credit package of VND 120,000 billion.
