THE MINISTRY of Communications and Digital (Kemenkomdigi) ensures that internal technology system audits are carried out in order to clean up internally from online gambling, aka online gambling. This was conveyed by the Director General of Information and Public Communication (Dirjen IKP) of the Ministry of Communication and Technology, Prabunindya Revta Revolution.
“The audit will definitely be carried out. It will definitely have been (done),” he said when confirmed, Friday (7/11).
According to Prabu, his party is also still aggressively blocking online gambling sites. Today, for example, the Ministry of Education and Culture has removed 8,086 pieces of content related to online gambling.
The content revealed includes 6,722 websites, 954 on the Meta platform, 279 file sharing, 77 on the Google/YouTube platform, and 54 on Twitter. Since the Red and White Cabinet started working on October 20 to November 8 2024, Prabu said that his party had taken action against 249,503 gambling content. The latest action is against a popular account with 99,700 followers, @dewi69official.
“We would like to thank the public who actively report negative content. This shows our commitment to eradicating online gambling without discrimination, in line with the direction of President Prabowo Subianto and Minister of Communication and Technology Meutya Hafid,” he said. (Tri/M-4)
