Madinah: Widespread inspection of commercial establishments in Madinah area. 22,000 products were seized in violation of the Anti-Trade Fraud Act. Supervisory teams from the Ministry of Commerce in the Madinah region conducted several checks in the markets to follow the availability of Ramadan products and ensure their validity. Several violations were found in commercial establishments.

Inspections are aimed at verifying compliance with consumer protection systems of commercial establishments and outlets, issuing regulations and directives once morest any violating parties, and working to create a commercial environment free of adulterated and substandard goods. The inspections are taking place within the ministry’s seasonal plans for Ramadan, Umrah season and visit to the Prophet’s Mosque in collaboration with the concerned authorities.
