CHAIRMAN of the Democratic Party DPP Herman Khaeron responded to the circulating issue of PDIP joining Prabowo Subianto’s government and getting a ministerial seat. Herman admitted that the decision to join the PDIP in the Advanced Indonesia coalition was in Prabowo’s hands.

“As the leader of the coalition, Pak Prabowo has the right to determine who the members of the coalition are, of course there are calculations. Yes, of course future programs and activities will certainly have the support of all parties,” said Herman at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Friday (4/ 10).

Herman admitted that the Democratic Party would not be to blame if PDIP later joined the Advanced Indonesia coalition.

“We don’t have a problem because it is Pak Prabowo’s interests and rights. So we just leave it to him, he has calculations, has calculations and of course hopefully he can be given health and success. And can lead Indonesia well in the future,” he said. .

Previously, there was news circulating that three names of ministerial candidates from PDIP would join the Prabowo-Gibran government. The news emerged in the midst of plans for a meeting between PDIP Chairman Megawati Soekarnoputri and the President Elect and Gerindra Chairman Prabowo Subianto. They are Budi Gunawan, Azwar Anas, and Olly Dondokambey.

PDIP DPP Chairman Said Abdullah said that so far there has been no decision from Megawati regarding the names of PDIP ministers or regarding plans to join Prabowo’s cabinet.

“There has been no signal from the General Chair. The three names, both Mr Budi Gunawan, Mr Azwar Anas, and Mr Olly Dondokambey, are waiting for a decision from the DPP and the General Chair,” said Said. (P-5)

The Daily Chair of the Gerindra Party, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, said that so far he does not know the truth of this issue. He admitted that he would meet Prabowo first to ask about the issue of joining the PDI Perjuangan and getting a ministerial seat.

“Until today, I am still waiting or looking for information whether it is true or not, because since yesterday the media has been quite busy asking questions. Well, I haven’t had the chance to meet Mr Prabowo. Maybe in the afternoon when I meet him I will ask,” said Dasco at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Central Jakarta, Friday (4/10).

Dasco admitted that so far there had been no meeting or communication with the PDIP elite regarding the option of joining the government of elected president Prabowo Subianto.

“Never. There hasn’t been (a meeting) yet,” he said.
