Ministerial Directive No. 27 was issued in light of the measures taken by the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade to limit the rise in prices and offer basic goods to the consumer at an appropriate price.
The first article of the ministerial directive stipulated that sugar produced through Egyptian Stock Exchange It is packaged and traded as rationing sugar, and legal measures are taken against the violator, whether the packaging companies or the various supply chains.
After the end of the trading session on the stock exchange and the determination of quantities and prices, the stock exchange notifies the regulatory authorities “Control and Distribution Sector – Supply Investigations” as well as the implementing companies with a statement of implementations.
The second article of the ministerial directive stipulates that the Control and Distribution Sector of the Ministry of Supply shall notify the directorates, each within its jurisdiction, according to geographical location, of the names of the packaging companies, the quantities distributed to them, and the production companies from which the sugar will be dispensed. The Supply Directorates shall appoint a committee for each company to Producing and distributing bulk sugar to companies Packing and delivery will be carried out under the supervision of the packaging company’s representative.
Article Three stipulates in the case of transfer Sugar Packaged outside the governorate, there is coordination between the Supply Directorate in which the packaging company is located and the Supply Directorate in the governorate to which it is transferred, with the quantities of transported sugar and the names of the supply chains that will be transported. Selling sugar For them to follow up, and for the governorates that do not have packaging companies, the supply directorates determine their needs for sugar and present them to the Minister of Supply, for approval for the Holding Company for Food Industries to provide those needs in packages.
Production companies prepare a special stamp with which the bags sold through the stock exchange are stamped in order to distinguish these bags from others.
The Ministry’s directive stressed the need for packaging companies to commit to writing the price, weight, production date and expiration date on the bag of sugar in accordance with Resolution 141 of 2023.
