Asuncion, IP Agency.- In order to ensure the safety of healthcare personnel in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Minister of Public Health, Julio Mazzoleni, visited the hospitals in the department of Cordillera, where he observed the provision of personal protective equipment in each health park.
The head of the health portfolio carried out a work day in the Third Health Region, in order to verify the stock of personal protective equipment (PPE).
First, she went to the Eusebio Ayala hospital to verify the supply of oxygen and PPE, as well as the functioning of the maternal and child care system, considering that the service has several white-collar staff absent due to the quarantine they are in after contracting Covid-19.
He also visited the Caacupé Regional Hospital, where, after a tour, he confirmed the supply of equipment and distribution of PPE. He also checked the Altos hospital.
“I ask that we hold all discussions behind closed doors and resolve any discrepancies. But when we go outside, to provide care, let us all go out united, shielded, because we owe it to the people,” Minister Mazzoleni emphasized to the officials.
The head of Public Health will carry out random checks to confirm the correct functioning of the services.
