Present at Arcom as part of the operation “Let’s play together”, the Minister of Sports, Amélie-Oudéa-Castéra, once once more returned to the homophobic chants heard during PSG-OM (4-0). The opportunity for her to deliver a clear opinion. “Yes, we should have stopped this match. I think that these protocols for stopping matches in the event of homophobic chants, in the event of incitement to hatred, because that’s what it’s regarding, yes it’s necessary”said the minister before arguing.

“It’s been done in the past, in 2018, 2019, it’s been happening much less for some time. I think this is one of the elements that must happen on the ground for the situation to change. In the same way that we have evolved our legal arsenal, and in the same way that we encourage the authorities to take all their responsibilities and including the supporters’ associations so that they themselves help us in this direction. I will have time for discussions with some of these associations starting next Monday to continue to review together everything that we need to increase in our action plans so that these situations do not recur”.
