Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas hopes that the National Awakening Party (PKB) congresses other than the one held in Bali should be treated as differences of opinion.
“The issue of the Congress in Bali has been completed and I think there is no competition, I think, but if there is another Congress, it is possible, and that is allowed in the political mechanism, I don’t know. But I did not initiate it,” explained Gus Yaqut, at the DPR RI Building, Jakarta, Monday (2/9).
Responding to this, Deputy General Chairperson of the PKB DPP Jazilul Fawaid emphasized that Yaqut should not make many comments that were none of his business.
“Stop making comments that are not your business. Please take care of it and attend the Hajj special committee, don’t keep being absent,” Gus Jazil emphasized to Media Indonesia, Monday (2/9).
“Explain the Hajj quota problem that has disappointed thousands of pilgrims who have been queuing for years,” he added.
Jazilul claimed that the PKB DPP for the 2024-2029 period resulting from the Bali congress had been registered and received a letter of approval from the Indonesian Minister of Law and Human Rights and had also been recorded in the state gazette.

“So the legal PKB is the DPP PKB from the Bali congress, there is no other. If there are any who claim to be, we will sweep them up,” he said.
In fact, he said, on August 31, 2024, the PKB DPP from the Bali congress had held an inaugural meeting with PKB General Chair Muhaimin Iskandar and the chairman of the Syuro Council KH Ma’ruf Amin to mark the start of the work of the PKB DPP management from the Bali congress.
“So everything is done, the DPP PKB 2024-2029, the result of the Bali congress, is legal, Clear and Clean and immediately stepped on the gas to work,” he said. (P-5)
