Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the official spokesman for the Ministry of Health and Population, explained that the minister listened to a presentation from Dr. Khaled Al-Khatib, head of the Central Administration for Critical and Urgent Care, who reviewed the axes of the action plan, which includes providing therapeutic services, whether in specialized surgeries or in the treatment of complex injuries and fractures. burns, and critical medical cases, while monitoring chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, diabetes, kidney failure, and tumors, in addition to preventive services, through monitoring and treating infectious diseases and providing the necessary vaccinations and serums for them, indicating an increase in the level of preparedness in hospitals in those governorates.
“Abdul Ghaffar” said that the minister was assured of the availability of sufficient stocks of medicines, medical supplies, oxygen cylinders, and blood bags and plasma. He was also assured of the readiness of hospitals with manpower in all specialties, and coordination with university hospitals in the event of needing support from staff. Medical, adding that the Minister directed that the pre-equipped hospital be placed on standby, and that it be equipped with all equipment and supplies, so that it acts as a focal point from the site of events, through which cases are sorted and directed to referral hospitals, according to the nature of the case, in addition to providing emergency medical services, adding The plan includes deploying a number of mobile clinics to deal with some medical cases and reduce pressure on referral hospitals.
Abdel Ghaffar indicated that the minister listened to a presentation from Dr. Amr Rashid, head of the ambulance authority, regarding the ambulance authority’s plan to deal with any medical developments due to the repercussions of the events in the Gaza Strip.
