Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Moscow opens talks with the West waiting for offer

Mr Lavrov gave an interview on state television that Russia intends to engage with the US or Turkey to find a way to end the war. Now eight months later, the statement comes following the ongoing defeat by Russian forces over Ukrainian forces that have reclaimed territories since early September.
Mr Lavrov said Officials, including White House national security spokesman John Kirby, said the United States was open to talks but said Russia refused. So he said that “That was a lie. We have not received any serious offers to communicate with each other.”
Mr Lavrov said that Russia will not deny a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Joe Biden at the mid-November G20 summit in Indonesia. and will consider such an offer if Russia receives it.
“We have said time and time once more, We have never turned down a meeting, if there is an offer we will consider it,” Lavrov said.
Commenting on the possibility of Turkey hosting talks between Russia and the West, the Russian Foreign Minister said: Russia will be happy to hear any suggestions. But it cannot be said in advance whether this will lead to results or not.
Russian foreign minister said Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will have the opportunity to make an offer to President Putin. When the couple visited Kazakhstan this week Direct talks between Russia and Ukraine collapsed at the end of March.
