Minimum income: Vienna decides on new parental family allowance – Viennese politics

Vienna – Vienna is preparing an amendment to the Vienna Minimum Security Act – from which single parents and couples with children should benefit. Specifically, a so-called parent-family allowance will be created, as the office of City Councilor for Social Affairs Peter Hacker (SPÖ) informed the APA. The reason for this are cuts that became necessary due to a finding by the Constitutional Court. This had abolished the cost rates for couples in Vienna.
