If you’re one of those who opted for 32GB of RAM memory when building your computer, it’s your turn to shine! Sony has released the game’s minimum and recommended requirements The Last of Us Part 1and among other very strict specifications, we have the requirement of 32GB of RAM memory.
With the end of the first season of The Last of Us series, adaptation of the game made by HBO, we will have the launch of the PC version of the famous Playstation game, originally released in 2013. This is one of Sony’s most popular franchises, previously exclusive for the Playstation console, it will now be released for PC.
What are the requirements to run The Last of Us Part 1 on PC?
We can achieve 30 frames with everything on minimum using old video cards, like the GTX 970, GTX 1050 TI e RX 470in HD resolution (720p).
Now, if your goal is to play with high graphics quality at 1080p, reaching 60 frames per second, Sony recommends mid-range video cards RTX 2070 Super, RTX 3060 e Radeon RX 6600 XT.
Note that in the same recommended list, Sony sugere a RX 5800 XT – a video card that does not exist. Considering the performance of the other recommended cards, it’s likely that Sony is referring to RX 5700 XTAMD’s top-of-the-line card in 2019.
To play this release with everything on ultra, at 4K and 60 FPS, Sony requires top of the line video cards RTX 4080 e RX 7900 XT, combined with AMD’s powerful Ryzen 9 5900X and Intel’s i5-12600K processors. Despite the demanding requirements, the game does not support Ray Tracing technology.

SSD is required even at minimum requirements
It is curious that, even in the minimum requirements, Sony requires 100GB of free space on an SSD. It’s likely that the game will run on a hard drive, but even at the minimum requirements Sony recommends using an SSD – so take advantage of the plummeting price of SSDs and get a few extra Terabytes for all your games!
