Minimal Twitter: a Safari extension to streamline the Twitter web interface

Lack of follow-up for third-party customers, many Internet users must have got into the habit of going through the web version of Twitter. If this is not to your liking, be aware that there are several Safari extensions allowing you to adjust it according to your preferences. Minimal Twitter is part of it and works quite well if you want a simpler interface.

The extension can be downloaded from the Mac App Store and takes the form of a new icon next to the URL bar, offering to modify many aspects such as the size of the news feed or its borders. We can also make the search bar transparent or center the buttons on the sidebar.

But the biggest advantage of Minimal Twitter is that it allows you to hide what is rarely used: you can thus hide a whole bunch of buttons like Explorer or even the button to tweet. It is also possible to make the trends or the new “For you” tab disappear. Finally, we can put under the rug the different counters (number of views, retweets, etc.): enough to make the interface more refined and pleasant.

Minimal Twitter is available for free on the Mac App Store and does not run on mobile. If you want to change the interface of the web version on iOS, you can try Tweaks for Twitter Mobile which has a similar operation.
