On the occasion of the Invictus Games, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle offered themselves a real breath of fresh air this Saturday, April 16. The royal couple let themselves be driven by (very) young drivers, driving mini-cars, during a sporting challenge in The Hague.
Announced for several weeks in the Netherlands, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry went well to Invictus Games in The Hague. This competitionhosted by the Duke of Sussex, is at its fifth edition. This year, the Jaguar Land Rover Driving Challenge kicked off the hostilities. This driving challenge tested participants’ skill, precision, observation and teamwork. An event was even dedicated to children! It was during the latter that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle caused a sensation.
On a background of The Ballad of happy Peoplea famous song by Gerard Lenorman, Harry and Meghan guided the children, driving a mini Range Rover on a course strewn with pitfalls. Between tight bends and small hills, the aces of the wheel in the making shared a real moment of communion with the royal couple. Smiling and invested, Harry even celebrated crossing the finish line by raising his arms. For her part, Meghan resolutely encouraged her regular driver. One thing is sure, the Sussexes are really comfortable with children. And for good reason, their son Archie Harrison, 2, and their daughter Lilibet Diana, 10 months, take a very important place in their lives.

An unmissable date for the royal couple
This event reminded fans that their passion for the Invictus Games had not waned compared to previous editions. Games mean a lot for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Indeed, in addition to being at the initiative, Prince Harry had marked his first official appearance with Meghan Markle, in 2017, in Toronto. Unfortunately, since 2020, the event has been systematically postponed due to the health situation. The year 2022 therefore marks the return, with great fanfare, of an event particularly appreciated by lovers of sporting challenges.
