This Friday, Minecraft developer Mojang Studios revealed the release date for the game’s next major update, Trails & Tales. From June 7th, version 1.20 of the game arrives for both Java and Bedrock Edition players.
Among the main highlights of this pack are a new Cherry Blossom biome, or cherry grove, filled with trees of this type, highlighting the characteristic pink. These trees bring a new set of pink wood and there is also a unique falling cherry blossom effect that can only be found in Cherry Groves.
There are still two new mobs joining the ecosystem, but they are passive, that is, they are not enemies. Camels will be a new mount capable of accommodating two players, while Sniffers that can be created from hatching eggs. With an exceptional sense of smell, they can sniff out ancient plant seeds that can be grown into two different types of rare and decorative plants.
The standout mechanic of the update is the addition of archeology tools, highlighting the exploration of desert biomes in search of secrets. Players can craft the new brush tool, revealing what’s hidden underneath certain blocks of sand. Players will be able to find treasures including sleeping Sniffer eggs and pottery shards that can be combined into unique decorative clay pots.
Players can also expect new items, blocks, as well as extensive bug fixing. The update comes to players on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows PC, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Android, and iOS platforms.
