On June 7th, Minecraft will be updated with ‘The Wild’, which is set in a swamp area and the underworld.

First, one of the new biomes, ‘Mangrove Marsh’, is added. A tree that grows in water, ‘mangrove’, appears here, and it can be made into various types of furniture such as boards, blocks, and stairs.

Mud blocks and frogs are also new. Mud blocks scattered throughout the wetland can be used as various building and decoration materials when dried, and mud blocks are created when wetted with water. For frogs that eat fireflies, the whole process of growing from an egg to an adult is applied to the game. Here, the appearance and skin color change depending on the environment in which the tadpole grows. In addition to this, a boat with a chest for storing items in the swamp is added.

A new biome ‘Deep Dark’ is also open, buried deep underground. Here, you can see the remnants of ruined civilizations, the ‘Skull Block’ with black and white spots, and the ‘Worden’, a powerful enemy that responds to player footsteps and vibrations. In particular, the Warden is very powerful and requires caution as it requires stealth play.

In addition, the ‘Arley’ monster, which took first place in last year’s Minecraft Live fan voting, will also be added. A small, blue-backed, winged Arleigh flies through the game, helping players collect items or dancing to the beat of a note block.
