Cellar updates continue with the Wild Update. Minecraft 1.19 is part of a line of patches continuing the addition of Deep Dark. However, this one also extends on the surface, with new for the marshes.
Minecraft 1.19: See you on June 7 for the Wild Update
Via a short blog post, Mojang announced the release date of Minecraft 1.19. The update will be available on June 7 on all platforms, Java and Bedrock versions. It will therefore still take a little patience before discovering the changes on an official version. In the meantime, you can already discover the changes via snapshots and pre-release.
Thus, this big summer patch is substantial and offers a large overhaul of the Deep Dark, below layer 0, not to mention a revision of the swamps. In short, you can also find:
- Three new creatures: The Warden, the Allay and the Frogs
- The different variants of Sculk
- Ancient cities, appearing in the depths of the world and with good loot
- A host of new blocks, like the Mangrove tree or the Mud
- Vault boats
- Lots of small changes
In any case, Mojang finally concludes its cycle of retouching around the underground. There will still be a little work to balance the content, but the essentials are there, with the Warden as a new boss and “post-game” content.
