The State-Owned Indonesian Mining Industry Holding Company (MIND ID) continues to support national economic growth by actively engaging in the development of micro and small enterprises (MSMEs) around its operational areas.
Through the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, MIND ID together with Holding members continue to provide mentoring and entrepreneurship training to MSMEs to drive the community economy.
MIND ID Corporate Secretary Heri Yusuf emphasized that the MIND ID Group is aware that the existence of MSMEs has a major contribution to the economy, especially the national gross domestic product (GDP) and workforce absorption.
“Through a series of programs and initiatives, we continue to provide support for the growth and sustainability of MSMEs around the operational area in Semester II 2024. Starting with providing capital assistance, training to marketing assistance to MSME actors who are our fostered partners,” said Heri.
Throughout last year, this entrepreneurship mentoring and training program successfully mentored 9,818 active MSEs. The MIND ID Group also successfully mentored 1,076 new MSEs and encouraged 293 MSEs to grow.

Heri said that various TJSL programs of the MIND ID Group in the field of development were carried out by PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTAM) with a community business incubator program, assistance for supporting business facilities and infrastructure in 40 packages and infrastructure in four villages in the operational area.
ANTAM also has a halal certification program for 20 MSMEs, conducting workshops and entrepreneurship assistance in five locations around the company’s operational areas.
Furthermore, PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) has a number of successful programs to increase the income of communities around the operational area. Among others, capacity building in the SIBA manufacturing program, the PTBA snakehead fish seed and cultivation program, and the SIBA Batik program with 3 trademarks that have been registered with Intellectual Property Rights (HAKI).

PTBA also increased the income of 20 former illegal mining workers (PETI) and increased the number of members in the Snakehead Fish Seeding and Cultivation group.
PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (INALUM) has a business equipment assistance program and mentoring for 100 SMEs in 10 districts/cities and tourism development in Meat Village, Toba Regency.
Furthermore, PT Timah Tbk (TIMAH) has two MSME mentoring programs, namely business mindset training and business legality training. This program is intended so that small and medium-scale business actors understand various business tips to move up a class, including in managing the legality of their business.
“MIND ID is committed to continuing to support the sustainability of the community’s economy through various mentoring programs for MSMEs so that it has an impact on the economic cycle around the company’s operations,” he said. (N-2)
