According to what is known so far, the cyclone is bringing a “monster storm” with winds that will exceed 285 km per hour, with the authorities warning of mortal danger and calling on citizens to evacuate the area.
As the meteorologists report in the continuous bulletins if the hurricane does not change course it will be the worst to hit the Tampa area in a century and to explain the danger with a picture, they prepared a simulation of what it means for the human body to face a cyclone and receive such strong gusts.
In particular, in the video of The Weather Channel, the flood waters are seen to be far higher than the anchor Stephanie Abrams.
The presenter said what could happen if the waters reach 2.7 metres,: “At this level the first floors of the structures are completely flooded and there are few places where they are safe when the water rises that high. We want everyone to know their evacuation zone, listen to local officials and evacuate when instructed. This isn’t just calm water – you’ll have waves and even white foam on the inland wave.”
The video then presents what the situation is expected to be like in the areas affected by the cyclone and shows flooded houses, tropical palm trees in the floodwaters and garbage cans and other items washed away.
Meteorologist Jordan Steele added: “This thing is going to blow you away, especially when we have the forecast that it could reach 4.5m.”
