Across Austria, 4 million households will soon receive an energy voucher worth 150 euros. This energy voucher is intended to help people pay for rising energy prices. Around one million vouchers will then be sent out every week by the end of May.
However, this bonus is tied to a contract with an electricity supplier. There are also earnings limits. One-person households can only redeem the voucher if they do not earn more than 55,000 euros a year. For multi-person households, the limit is 110,000 euros.
The voucher can be redeemed at the online address www.oesterreich.gv.at/energiekostenvergleich. To do this, the so-called QR code can be read. If you haven’t received a voucher by July, you can request one by August 31 at the online address www.oesterreich.gv.at/energiekostenvergleich or by telephone on 050 233 798.
