Milk Route: Work on the first lot is about to be completed

Asuncion, IP Agency.- The works on Lot 1 of the project for the development and maintenance of the agro-industrial corridors of the Western Region, known as the “Ruta de la Leche”, are in their final stage, with the placement of the asphalt layer in the toll area, according to representatives of the contracting company.

“Right now we are in the stage of laying asphalt mix with polymer, which is what the toll zone would be like,” said resident engineer Ricardo Navarro, from the company Heisecke, which together with Vialtec SA is part of the Vías de Occidente consortium.

In this regard, he explained that improvements are being made at the same time to the accesses to the communities of Campo Vía and Nueva Vida, which consists of raising the embankment and finishing with gravel. “It would also be an all-weather road,” he stressed.

The professional highlighted that this work benefits milk producers, residents and also generates work for the premises. “We are in the final stages of the work, we only need four kilometers of polymer pavement,” he added.
