Vienna (OTS/LCG) – Today’s world faces numerous challenges that require a sustainable and responsible approach. Climate change, social injustice and the conscientious use of resources are problems of global concern that must be urgently addressed. Educational institutions play a crucial role in providing not only knowledge, but also the values ​​and skills required to successfully meet these challenges. Against this background, the Charlotte Fresenius Private University recently made a groundbreaking decision: As the first private university in Austria, it is now part of the UN Global Compact, the world’s largest initiative for corporate responsibility and sustainability.

Commitment to sustainability and responsibility

The Charlotte Fresenius Private University’s decision to join the UN Global Compact is in line with its belief that education and research can make a decisive contribution to tackling pressing problems. By integrating the ten universal principles of the UN Global Compact, which focus on human rights, labor standards and environmental protection, as well as through the commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Charlotte Fresenius Private University actively contributes to shaping a sustainable and fairer world .

Focus on digitalization and innovation

All study programs at Charlotte Fresenius Private University are characterized by a clear focus on the topic of sustainability and at the same time take into account the important aspects of digitalization and innovation. This enables students to acquire essential core competencies and to actively contribute to the sustainable transformation of the economy and society.

The location in the Seestadt Technology Center, which was built according to strict sustainability criteria, offers students a modern and forward-looking environment. In addition, the Charlotte Fresenius Private University is working intensively on building an international partner network that gives students the opportunity to study in other cities. Among other things, the university is in advanced planning to introduce a study program in New York.
