Before this scene posted by Milei, the Bible tells how, while they were up there, God told Moses that the people had become corrupt and had asked him – He to his prophet – to let “My anger burn against them.” and consume them and make of you a great nation.” Moses calms him down and stops him for the moment and “God repents of the evil that he said he was going to do to his people” (verses 7/14). Small final observation: the tribe of Levi, who responded, according to the biblical text, to the leader’s call to exterminate those who did not follow his will, formed, with the kohanim or priests, a distinct and special group within the people, with special privileges . They were exempt from many civic responsibilities and were supported by the people’s offerings and tithes. It is what Javier Milei called, before becoming president, “the caste.”
