According to the Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Mile Svilar reached an agreement with AS Roma. General manager Tiago Pinto and coach Jose Mourinho pushed hard for his arrival and they managed to convince the young goalkeeper. In the next ten days, Svilar would pass his medical tests and following that he might sign his contract immediately.

Svilar, as a reminder, was considered a huge talent when he left Anderlecht, where he completed all his classes. He also joined the first team at the age of sixteen. However, the goalkeeper was impatient and moved to Benfica in the summer of 2017. After a few months in Portugal, he was able to make his Champions League debut, but the young goalkeeper’s outburst never happened. . He played just 23 games in five seasons, almost all of them in his first two years at the Portuguese club.
