The 34-year-old actress starred as the new 007 Nomi alongside Daniel Craig in the hit movie ‘No Time To Die’, but her future is uncertain.
They’re looking for a new actor to play Ian Fleming’s iconic spy.
She told Empire magazine: “I’m happy that my culture, Jamaica and London, was represented in this film.
“I’ve signed on for a movie and I don’t know if they fully know where it’s going. I really don’t know, but it’s exciting to wonder!”
If she does not reprise her role, Lynch is still happy to have been able to present an endearing character who does not really know how to express herself.
She added: “She represents awkward British girls like me who have a lot to say, but sometimes don’t really know how to express themselves.
“I wanted Nomi to have a bit of that, to still be figuring herself out. I didn’t want there to be this cut-and-dried version of the first 007 that would be a
black woman.
“I wanted to make sure that she was still trying to be quick on her feet, but also failing in certain areas without showing it.”
Producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson are leading the search to replace Craig as the iconic spy, but recently revealed they are looking to cast a villain first so they can craft a story for the next film. .
Broccoli said, “We always sit down with our writers, and we start out thinking, ‘What is the world afraid of?’
“Who is the Bond villain?
“We’re trying to focus on this kind of great story, and then we also want to look at Bond’s emotional life, and what he’s going to have to deal with personally.
he’s never had to face before.
“So he has two big issues in movies – one is geopolitics and
the other is the personal problem.”
