The representative to the Chamber Miguel Polo Polo responded harshly this Thursday to Senator Griselda Lobo, of the Comunes party, who called his election as congressman for the Afro constituency outrageous.
“Outrageous that Miguel Polo Polo arrives saying that “he doesn’t want poor Afros, Afros with palenqueras on their heads, ragged Afros, he wants rich Afros, capitalists who forget their past”. Who is this man going to represent then? This has no introduction!” Lobo, better known as Sandra Ramírez, who was a romantic partner of Manuel Marulanda Vélez, alias Tirofijo, commander of the Farc for several decades, wrote on Twitter. The former guerrilla made reference in her message to a video published by the well-known activist on his social networks.
In response to these statements, Polo Polo accused Lobo of being “a pimp for the crimes and sexual aberrations of Tirofjo, a terrorist who killed peasants, blacks, women and children.”
The congressman also said that it is “outrageous” that she is “sitting in the Senate without even getting a vote or paying jail.” “I did win a place without spilling blood,” said Polo Polo, who won more than 35,000 votes in the March 13 elections.
