The Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira (Aprilia) dislocated his left shoulder following the fall he suffered, this Sunday, at the Spanish MotoGP Grand Prix, the fourth race of the season, following touching the Frenchman Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha).

Speaking to SportTV, doctor Franco Peroni explained that the Portuguese driver suffered “the displacement of the left humerus, which was replaced in place”, awaiting further tests to understand the real extent of the injury and the recovery time.

According to the clinician, Miguel Oliveira is receiving oxygen and analgesics “for comfort”.

The Aprilia rider was hit by Frenchman Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) in the second corner of the race.

Oliveira was taken off the track at the Angel Nieto circuit, in Jerez de la Frontera, Spain, on a stretcher, having always been conscious, according to championship promoters.

This was the second withdrawal due to a fall caused by opponents of the pilot born in Almada in the four races this season.
