CINCINNATI — The outfielder for the Oakland Athletics, Miguel Andujar, will undergo surgery that will end his season, according to manager Mark Kotsay on Wednesday.

Miguel Andujar, who has primarily played left field for the majority of the season, has not played since Saturday. Daz Cameron is expected to take most of the starts in left field, although Kotsay mentioned that Allen, Tyler Nevin, and Seth Brown may also have opportunities there.

Allen, 25, posted a batting average of .171 with one home run and three RBIs in 28 games before being sent to Triple-A on May 3. He then recorded a .345 average, along with 26 doubles, one triple, seven home runs, and 51 RBIs in 81 games for Las Vegas.
