Mie Prefecture announced on September 10 that 764 people in the prefecture (including 152 announced by Yokkaichi City) were infected with the new coronavirus, and two men in their 70s and 80s died. A total of 233,125 people were infected in the prefecture, and 489 people died.
According to the announcement, the breakdown of infected people by municipality is 146 in Yokkaichi City, 142 in Tsu City, 100 in Matsusaka City, 71 in Suzuka City, 58 in Ise City, 43 in Kuwana City, 31 in Iga City, and 18 in Shima City. 15 in Kameyama City, 14 in each of Nabari and Inabe, 12 in each of Toin and Komono, 11 in Tamaki, 10 in Taki, Meiwa and Minamiise, Owase, Kawagoe, Odai and Kihoku 4 in each town, 3 in each of Toba/Kumano City and Taiki, 2 each in Asahi and Kiho, 1 in Watarai, 8 outside the prefecture, 15 unknown.
The number of hospitalized patients in the prefecture decreased by 4 from the previous day to 256, and the number of severely ill patients remained unchanged at 2. The hospital bed occupancy rate was 43.6%, and the number of severely ill patients was 3.8%. The number of people recuperating at home decreased by 1,578 from the previous day to 10,008.
