Middle-aged man in Fanling argues with “coffee boy” and pours hot milk tea to vent his anger, arrested for two crimes

A middle-aged man in Fanling was arrested this morning for allegedly arguing with a traffic inspector commonly known as “Coffee Boy” by throwing milk powder on him.

The police received a report at 9:22 a.m. today (22nd) that two male and female traffic wardens had a dispute with a 42-year-old man surnamed Jiang over law enforcement issues while on duty in Luen On Street, Fanling. The hot milk tea on the table was poured on the two of them. Both male and female traffic wardens reported back injuries and were conscious and sent to North District Hospital for treatment.

The police arrived at the scene following preliminary investigation and arrested the man on suspicion of “obstructing public officials to perform their duties” and “common assault”.
