Microsoft will sabotage Activision games on PlayStation, Sony says

Sony is still unhappy with the deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard, so it is selflessly trying to derail it

The UK Competition and Markets Authority has released some of the responses from the Sony and Microsoft meeting on the Activision Blizzard deal. Microsoft’s position has remained unchanged: the company is still offering Sony an unprecedented contract, under which Call of Duty games will not disappear from PlayStation consoles for the next ten years, and full parity will be maintained between platforms in terms of content and features. Microsoft offers similar terms on Steam on PC, Nintendo and NVIDIA with its GeForce NOW cloud service.

However, Sony said that Microsoft did not attempt to discuss the details of the deal with it, although the head of Activision Blizzard, Bobby Kotick, said in an interview that Sony representatives themselves stopped answering ActiBlizz calls, and Microsoft publicly declares its desire to conclude almost every day contract with Sony.

“Over the past period, Microsoft has not shown a real attempt to achieve an agreed result. They are only playing for time, faking a flurry of activity only when they feel that the prospects for a settlement are becoming more dim, and favoring media talks over bringing in the SIE.”.

Sony also believes that Microsoft will deliberately sabotage the PlayStation versions of ActiBlizz games, releasing them with bugs and technical bugs to hurt the competitor’s business.
