It was in New York that Microsoft unveiled the new features around Windows 11—focused in particular on AI with Copilot—as well as its new range of Surface laptops.
Surface Laptop Studio 2 for creators
Microsoft’s most powerful laptop, the Surface Laptop Studio 2, is dedicated to content creators and professionals. It benefits from a significant update since it embeds a 13th generation Core i7 from Intel in place of the 11th generation processor supported, depending on the configuration, by an Nvdia GPU with the GeForce RTX 4050 or 4060. For the first time, the Laptop Studio will be able to carry up to 64 GB of RAM, configurations starting with 16 GB.

Microsoft also added a touch of AI by adding a VPU from Intel called Movidius. This allows, among other things, to benefit from Studio Effects in Windows 11 (background blur, eye contact and automatic framing).

The connectivity has been revised with a full-size USB port, two Thunderbolt 4 ports in USB-C format and a microSD reader. To this must be added the Microsoft Connect port for charging as well as a jack port.
The screen is not to be outdone, the maximum brightness is now 500 cd/m², which also allows it to be HDR compatible. The haptic feedback touchpad has also been improved for more precision.
Surface Laptop Go 3 for nomads
The Surface Laptop Go 3, for its part, undergoes a simple processor update with the move to the Core i5 1235U from Intel. On the other hand, the minimum configuration increases to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage instead of the 4 GB / 128 GB of the Surface Laptop Go 2.

Microsoft thus announces 15 hours of autonomy and 88% more performance compared to the Laptop Go 2, something that we will not fail to verify during our tests in the lab.

The Surface Laptop Studio 2 will be priced from €2,239 to €4,159, while the Surface Laptop Go 3 with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage starts at €899. All these little people will be available for sale from October 3.
