After a meeting this Tuesday morning, the head of Xbox, Phil Spencer, announced that Microsoft intends to continue investing in the console sector. However, changes to the business model must occur and the news will be announced to the general public on the company’s official podcast this Thursday (15).
Much has been said regarding a supposed crisis and, as a result, exclusive Xbox titles are being made available for the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch. Among the games listed are “Hi-Fi Rush” and “Sea of Thieves”, as well as “Starfield” and “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle”.
The multiplatform strategy for these titles specifically might be interesting considering that they have already been on the market for over a year and “Sea of Thieves” was released in 2018.
The critically acclaimed “Hi-Fi Rush” and “Pentiment” might do well on the Switch (and even the soon-to-release model).

There is no confirmation that the podcast announcement includes details regarding future hardware, but the tweet inviting you to listen to the show concerns economic issues in the sector. Additionally, Spencer has previously addressed rumors that a portable system might be in the works.
Leaked documents from the Microsoft and FTC trial reveal that the company has already discussed a portable and more recent rumors suggest that the Surface division is designing the next generation of Xbox, which will come with two models (one desktop and one portable).
To move the market, there are also rumors that Sony is designing a new portable console as well.
