Update (09/06/2023) – GS
at the beginning of the weekthere were rumors that Microsoft was finally working on a new version of Minecraft with a focus on new generation consoles, but unfortunately, it didn’t take long for the Redmond giant to deny the claims.
In an interview with Eurogamer, Microsoft confirmed that Mojang is not working on a native Xbox Series X|S port for Minecraft, meaning the game will retain the same Xbox 360 look and feel it is known for. Of course, the PC version of the game already features NVIDIA RTX ray tracing.
Given the number of platforms and geographies Minecraft is available on, we periodically review reviews and updates with different regional forums. This recent ranking is not indicative of any new versions or platform support for Minecraft in the near future.
In view of the magnitude and importance of the Minecraft franchise to the Xbox ecosystem, it is disappointing to see that the game has not yet received a version with enhanced features on the brand’s latest consoles, which might certainly help attract even more players.
In any case, we have to keep waiting.

Minecraft: New version for Xbox Series X|S is being developed
After appearing on the indicative rating list of the German USK board, now a new version of Minecraft has appeared on the US body responsible for this, the ESRB. With that, we have a new confirmation that there is a new version of the game in the ovenperhaps already at a very advanced stage for Xbox Series X|S consoles.
None of the lists give any details of what will ultimately be new in this release compared to the many others that already exist. But the expectations of the fans are directed towards the inclusion of the long-awaited ray tracing option in the game. Microsoft even used the game as a demonstration of the visual effects of this technology, available on Series X in March 2020, before the launch of the console.
Last year, a Preview version of Minecraft appeared on Xbox with a setting that appeared, without fanfare, for “prototype code for ray tracing support on Xbox consoles”. But it was quickly removed.
Microsoft even announced the cancellation of an update to the Super Duper Graphics Pack for Minecraft on next-gen consoles, with visual updates for the Bedrock versions of the game available for PC and Xbox One. of the game for Playstation 5, but we must wait first for the Microsoft consoles to come out first.
Currently, it is possible to check out the game on several platforms, including the Xbox Series X|S, but playing versions of previous consoles.
