Microsoft released, this Tuesday (11), the “Patch Tuesday” updates for different versions of Windows 11 and Windows 10. The new software versions correct several problems that might compromise the security of the platform and bring small changes to improve the users’ experience.
Patch Tuesday para Windows 11
Windows 11 is receiving security updates “KB5025239” and “KB5025224” for versions 22H2 and 21H2 respectively. Both bring dozens of security fixes to the devices, but also include minor changes to the operating system’s user interface that were noticed in previous test builds.
An example is the appearance of Microsoft account notifications on the Start menu, such that they will only be available in version 22H2. The purpose of this feature is to alert users regarding pending issues in their profile and recommend actions, such as backing up data to OneDrive. The company claims that the function will be distributed gradually.

Another notable change is related to the Windows taskbar. When using the system with a custom color and the dark mode activated, the search box will adopt a lighter tone to improve its readability.
To ensure more security for corporate users, the company cites improvements in Microsoft Defender for Endpoint. In addition to these changes, Microsoft highlights the correction of problems in several applications that include crashes in PowerPoint and errors in Excel Narrator.
