During the Xbox Showcase, the computer giant announced a partnership with the cloud gaming service GeForce Now.

Play recent games on aging PCs. This is the promise of Microsoft’s announcement this Sunday, June 11 on the sidelines of the Xbox Showcase. While the conference showcased 27 games, the company lifted the lid on a partnership with Nvidia.

“You will be able to play your PC Game Pass catalog on all devices supported by Nvidi GeForce Now,” said Sarah Bond, head of creator experience at Xbox.

150 million more users

The cloud gaming service will therefore welcome in the coming months the titles made available by Microsoft as part of its video game catalog offer. It will thus be possible to enjoy it on low-power computers, but also from a Mac, a Chromebook, a mobile device or a television, details the company on its blog.

This announcement follows the declarations of Brad Smith, the president of Microsoft. At the end of February, he went to Brussels to defend the acquisition of Activision Blizzard King. He then unveiled an agreement with Nintendo to guarantee the titles Call of Duty on the Switch for 10 years. Regarding Nvidia, the agreement covers access to PC releases from Xbox studios on the GeForce Now service.

“These are 150 million devices and users who might take advantage of Call of Duty, Xbox Studios games, then the entire Activision Blizzard catalog if the takeover is validated,” said Brad Smith at the time.

From now on, it will also be necessary to count on the next releases mentioned this Sunday: Starfield, Star Wars Outlaws or Fable.
