A Microsoft launched an update for the Paint application this week introducing a new feature in the version released to users subscribed to the Dev and Canary channels. According to informant @PhantomOfEarth, the new feature in question is the possibility of creating several layers in the editor, as happens in professional programs such as Adobe Photoshop.

The “layers” button has been added to the top right menu next to the color options, allowing you to add multiple layers according to the content being created. This feature allows you to separate project elements, facilitating the process of editing items such as font, colors, shapes, etc. and correction of possible errors.

The developer has not commented on the arrival of this function, so there is no prediction of when it will arrive for the entire Windows community, but it is expected to happen soon.
