Microsoft opens registration for training women in technology

The vacancies are for the #ElasnaIA and #SecurityGirls programs, focused on Artificial Intelligence and cybersecurity

São Paulo, March 20th ‒ Microsoft announced the opening of registration for two free classes of mentoring and technical certification for cis and trans women in technology. In total, there are 100 vacancies offered by the two initiatives, which are the result of the work of Microsoft employees and volunteers from the company’s Diversity and Inclusion pillars – WAM (Women at Microsoft). The vacancies, open to women from all over Brazil, are for the following programs:

  • 6th edition of Elas na AI: targeted at areas of Machine Learning/Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Cloud services. The initiative is designed for women with an interest in working in AI development or data science. The program will last 7 weeks and participants will learn regarding the fundamentals of artificial intelligence, application development with Cognitive Services and will be able to take the AI-900: Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals certification exam for free.   • 2nd edition of Security Girls: brings content for women who want to delve into the area of ​​security and cloud infrastructure. The training will cover the fundamentals of SCI (security, compliance and identity) and Microsoft Azure. During 7 weeks, participants will learn hands-on and be able to take the certification exam SC-900: Fundamentals of Security, Compliance and Identity. Registration must be done through the link:

To participate in the programs, you must identify yourself as a cisgender or transgender woman, be at least 18 years old, have completed high school and be interested in working in the technology market, among other requirements. For the Security Girls program, it is also recommended to have basic knowledge of computers and cloud computing infrastructure.

These initiatives are part of Microsoft Mais Brasil, a plan launched in October 2020, which aims to expand Microsoft’s long-term commitment to the country. Among its initiatives is the promotion of free training so that the Brazilian population is able to meet the demands required by the current and future world of work. In all, since July 2020, more than 7 million people have been impacted by Microsoft’s training and retraining programs and more than 1.5 million people have completed at least one course. Mais Brasil also seeks to enable the digital economy through technology and promote sustainable growth with a social impact.
