Microsoft has updated Surface Pro 8 with the latest firmware version of April 2023. The latest firmware update does not include any new features or changes, as expected from a firmware update. The good thing regarding the April 2023 firmware update is that it brings stability improvements to Windows Hello login. It also discusses system camera performance and stability, as well as bug checking. The latest firmware update also resolves the display flickering issue.

Surface Pro 8 Firmware Update
The April 2023 Firmware is rolling out in phases, which means not everyone will get it on the same day. It may take regarding a week to be available to everyone. It is important to note that the latest firmware is rolling out to devices running Windows on Windows 2020 October 10 Update, version 20H2 or higher.
- Firmware updates cannot be uninstalled or rolled back to an earlier version.
- When you install the latest update, you also get all previous updates if your Surface doesn’t already have them. Only updates that apply to Surface will be downloaded and installed.
- Once the updates are installed, restart your device to complete the installation process. To restart your device, select the Beginning then select Power > Restart.
Microsoft will continue to update all of its supported Surface devices with the latest firmware. However, it will be interesting to see how many other Surface products get updated with the April 2023 Update.
