Microsoft Loop is now available in preview

Announced in 2021, the Microsoft Loop — collaboration application to the Notion created by the Windows developer — it’s finally here. Still in a test version, the program promises to simplify the work of entire teams by bringing together a series of information regarding a project in a single interface.

Filled with visual and textual resources, Microsoft Loop allows you to concentrate things like files, to-do lists, links, schedules, notes and much more in a kind of whiteboard, facilitating communication between people. The application also has integration with the 365 suite apps (formerly Office), including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

The app suggests files according to what a workspace is regarding once it’s created, lets you tag your colleagues, and also adds things like labels, emojis, and tables to keep things more organized. Loop syncs all changes in real time, so no one is left behind during a project.

In this preview, each project will support up to 50 people editing at the same time, although Microsoft is also testing the possibility of allowing hundreds of people to join a single workspace.

According to Microsoft, the app will soon get its own version of Copilot — artificial intelligence assistant announced by Microsoft for 365 last week. This feature will be able to organize the workspace, generate entire texts, make summaries and suggest changes — all instantly.

In addition to the computer, the application can also be accessed from a cell phone or tablet, even if it is recommended to access a workspace using a mouse, keyboard and a large screen. The mobile version of the app will have exclusive features, worth noting, such as integration with the device’s camera.

Interested parties can now test the Loop on the web through this page. For now, only Microsoft corporate customers can use the service app for iOS and Android (still unavailable), but the company has already promised that it will open it to the general public in the future.
