Microsoft announced that it has begun testing new technologies that make Windows systems difficult and impenetrable. According to the available information, the new test version of Windows 11 brought with it improved protection against so-called brute force attacks or brute force attacks that hackers exploit to penetrate computers.
Microsoft indicated that such improvements prevent hackers from accessing computer data and software. After ten attempts to enter an incorrect password to enter the computer system within 10 minutes, the system is completely blocked, and it becomes impossible to access its data or operate the computer.
“Brute force attacks are one of the most common ways to compromise computer systems and data, and to take control of computers remotely, and this method is often used in so-called ransomware attacks,” said David Weston, Microsoft vice president of operating systems and enterprise security.
The new security features are available to users of Windows 11 systems in 22H2 Testing format, and beneficiaries of the Windows Insiders Program, and should be rolled out to all Windows 11 users in September.
