Microsoft is preparing to launch the mid-range Surface Duo 2 Lite

It looks like Microsoft has been working on a less expensive version of the Android dual-screen Surface Duo. The phone was listed on eBay as an “upgraded unit” of the Surface Duo 2, although eBay has since removed the phone’s listing from the site.

This version of the phone was subsequently spotted by Windows Central with a higher-end Qualcomm Snapdragon processor compared to the Snapdragon 888 that powers the standard Surface Duo 2.

Apparently, the Lite version features a matte finish, plastic and glass construction, and a smaller camera bump on the back. And unlike the standard Surface Duo 2, both screens were flat, not curved.

The Surface Duo 2 will feature two 5.8-inch AMOLED screens with a resolution of 1344 x 1892 with a layer of Gorilla Glass Victus, and a refresh rate of 90Hz. When both screens are open, it creates a larger 8.3-inch tablet-sized screen.

The device comes with 8GB of RAM with 128GB, 256GB or 512GB storage.
