Microsoft is bringing back SwiftKey for iOS and rolling out new features

Microsoft’s popular SwiftKey keyboard for iOS has officially returned to Apple’s App Store, surprisingly, weeks following the company announced it would shut down the app and remove it from the platform.

In October, Microsoft said SwiftKey for iOS had been shut down and removed from the Apple App Store for no apparent reason.

Despite the return, SwiftKey’s keyboard is still the latest update since August 11, 2021, and it’s not clear if or when it will be updated.

Many users complained that there were several issues with the keyboard before the app was shut down, but it looks like there will be some hopeful changes.

Vishnu Nath, vice president of Microsoft, announced via Twitter the return of the app, inviting the public to explore what his company has in store for them in the coming days.

In turn, Pedram Rezaei, Microsoft’s chief of staff for the Maps and Local Services division, said that the company “will invest heavily in the keyboard.”
