Microsoft has updated the panel with widgets in stable versions of Windows 11

Microsoft began testing the redesigned Widget Bar in Windows 11 in October of this year, when the feature became available to Windows Insiders on the Dev channel. Now this update has begun to roll out to stable versions of the operating system, as some users of Windows 11 22H1 and Windows 11 22H2 have noticed.

The developers have tested different options for the location of the widget control panel, which can be displayed not only horizontally, but also vertically. The source notes that the design of the panel with widgets, which appeared in stable versions of the OS, differs from what was in the insider build of Windows 11 numbered 25227. The widget control panel now has a Home button that allows you to return to the start page, as well as a section ” Video”.

According to the source, users can interact with the widget panel without authorization in a Microsoft account. This feature first appeared in Windows 11 Test Build 25262, which became available to Insiders earlier this year. According to reports, the Widget Bar Update component is being rolled out in stages. This means that it will take some time for it to be widely distributed to all compatible devices.
