Microsoft is currently distributing Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26080 to all Windows 11 Insiders in the Canary and Dev Channels. This change should then continue to be available to all commercial customers via the normal update process. According to Microsoft, this is an adjustment that was requested by a large number of users via feedback.
In future builds, users will also be able to select the account they want to log in with when joining a meeting in Teams. You can also join meetings without registering beforehand. The revised notifications from Teams now show which Teams account they belong to. Private and business accounts can now be selected using separate icons in the taskbar.
The new preview version, known as “Microsoft Teams (Work or School),” will automatically be renamed to “Microsoft Teams” in future releases. This preview has some differences from the current Teams versions, “Microsoft Teams (Free)” and “Microsoft Teams (Work or School)”. One such change is the separate icon for individual accounts. The standalone Microsoft Teams (Free) app will no longer be available in future releases.
