Microsoft has released a new Windows 11 update in recent days with a feature that allows greater customization of the power mode. The new feature is part of Build 27686 of the operating system, for members of the beta version within the Canary channel.
The feature allows the user to select whether they want “Better performance” or “Better energy efficiency” in a dedicated way when their notebook is plugged in or just on battery power. Until then, you can only select the option generically, depending on your current usage. See how it looks below:
The intention is that the change in the interface makes it easier to use for those who frequently switch between connected and battery mode, by eliminating the need to make changes manually every time.
