This is good news for video game lovers! And for good reason, the multinational Microsoft has made a most satisfying announcement regarding… The next generation of consoles: PS6 and Xbox Series 2 could see the light of day in 2028 !
While Microsoft is trying to buy Activision Blizzard, the American firm comes up against a roadblock posed by the British competition authority. To this effect, a trial with the Federal Trade Commission is currently taking place in San Francisco. In addition, players have filed complaints for anti-competitive practices. For this reason, Microsoft is notably criticized for wanting to eliminate Playstation and keep Sony out of the market for life. And this, through the merger with Activision Blizzard.

In that context, Microsoft has unveiled a long document in which it is indicated, among other things, that the new generation of consoles, the PS6 and the Xbox Series 2 could see the light of day in 2028: « This term would in any case go beyond the planned start-up period of the next generation of consoles (in 2028). Thus, Call of Duty will be released on succeeding PlayStation consoles, should any news arrive during the term of the agreement. The deal would also ensure that Call of Duty console games are offered on PlayStation at parity with Xbox. ».
The next few weeks will therefore be decisive for the two multinationals. All the more so for Microsoft, which finds itself in a major impasse.
