A Microsoft announced yesterday news for the free version of Teams. The purpose of the update, according to the company, is to improve collaboration and user experience.
Now the messenger has integration with the GroupMe, allowing users to initiate calls directly from within the app. This integration enables seamless communication within communities on iOS and Android.
Speaking of which, Teams users on Windows 11 now have access to the feature. Support for communities on Windows 10 and macOS, as well as the web, is planned to roll out soon, though there’s no specific date yet.
Microsoft Designer (Preview) is now also supported in Teams on Windows 11, leveraging generative artificial intelligence technology to make it easy to create unique, custom designs.
Users can provide a description or upload an image to generate visually appealing designs. The Designer also allows for the creation of custom banners to enhance advertisements within communities.
The update even allows community members to record videos using their cell phones. In addition, there are new filters and tagging tools, expanding the options available to enhance video content.
Finally, on iOS, it’s now possible to use your phone’s camera to scan and invite multiple emails or phone numbers from online documents, directories or lists. This function simplifies the process of inviting participants to join communities, especially for admins.
According to Microsoft, all the news is now available to everyone. Just update the apps to access the features. Even so, it is possible that they are being released gradually, so it will take some time for them to reach all users.
