Training brought practical examples of the benefits of using technology in the sector
Brasília, April 24, 2023 – Microsoft and the National School of Public Administration (Enap) held, on April 19, the first free training for federal public managers in Artificial Intelligence (AI). The initiative aimed to train professionals on the latest artificial intelligence resources so that they can understand and adopt possible applications in their areas of expertise. The event also featured demonstrations of solutions, use cases and news from Microsoft in the area. More than 100 managers from 38 different bodies attended the meeting.
The opening was given by Rodrigo Paiva, Vice President of Marketing and Operations at Microsoft Brazil, and Betânia Lemos, President of ENAP. Next, Ronan Damasco, Director of Technology at Microsoft Brazil, spoke regarding Microsoft’s AI Strategy, followed by Tomer Simon, Chief Scientist at Microsoft Israel. At the opportunity, AI use cases in the public sector were presented by the Federal Revenue Service and the AGU together with the partners Kumulus and Best, the session was mediated by Camila Medeiros, director of innovation at ENAP. At the end, participants watched a presentation on how to use Azure OpenAI.
“This initiative was important to contribute to the discussion of a topic relevant to the agenda of the public sector and to present managers with the benefits, impacts and opportunities that the adoption of Artificial Intelligence can generate in the most diverse sectors of the national economy”, explains Ronan Damasco, Director of Technology at Microsoft Brazil.
