Microsoft Allows Friends to Share Xbox Game Pass

A possible brand leak of Microsoft’s upcoming family subscription Xbox Games Pass suggests that the subscription can be shared with friends as well, as Microsoft began testing its family plan in Ireland and Colombia earlier this month, and now Twitter researchers have discovered Aggiornamenti Lumia has taken the brand “Game Pass”. The leak may mean that Microsoft is not considering restricting Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to only share their benefits with immediate family members, according to The Verge technical website.

The current preview allows Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to pay €21.99 per month in Ireland (instead of €12.99 per month) for an unnamed test plan that includes sharing subscription benefits with up to four others.

Microsoft doesn’t currently mention a family restriction in its test plan, only people must be in the same country.

Microsoft currently offers Xbox Game Pass or PC Game Pass without online multiplayer capabilities, but you can upgrade to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and this unlocks Game Pass for console and PC, access to EA Play and online multiplayer.
